The first time you look at a Taipei schedule board you usually get stuck in the same place: a row of numbers that means nothing to you. The notation is fixed, though. Five things and you can read any board here.
1. Time: the numbers are hours
Every hour is a whole number on a 24-hour clock. One number, one hour.
| On the board | Means |
|---|---|
| 13 | 1 PM |
| 17 | 5 PM |
| 20 | 8 PM |
| 24 | Midnight |
| 1, 2, 3 | 1 AM, 2 AM, 3 AM — counted as the previous day |
15,16,17 means 3 PM, 4 PM and 5 PM are open. The small-hour numbers come
last because venues here stay open past midnight, and those hours still belong to the
night before.
2. 🈵 versus a number
- A number you can still see — that hour is open.
- 🈵 — already booked.
- Day off — not working at all today.
The board is live. An hour disappears the moment it gets booked, so someone with five open hours this morning may have two by tonight. Nothing is broken — they filled up in between.
3. "Walk-in only"
She is working, but her hours are not pinned down yet. It gets arranged when you arrive or when you contact us. It does not mean she is unavailable.
4. The numbers after a name
160/48/D is height in cm, weight in kg, cup size, in that order.
Some entries show only two, some show none — that just means the venue did not fill it in.
5. Price: what "單" means
Prices are written in hundreds, and the currency is New Taiwan Dollars.
| On the board | Actual price |
|---|---|
| 28單 | NT$2,800 |
| 32單 | NT$3,200 |
| 38單 | NT$3,800 |
Some venues add a room fee of NT$100, shown as "3,200 +100". See how pricing works for the full breakdown.
Once you can read it
The notation is near-identical across venues, so one board teaches you all of them. After that it is just picking a time — who is free right now is on the live schedule.
This explains how the board is written, not any venue's house rules. Services, extensions and booking policies differ by venue.
